What made you decide to train and become a Digital artist?

Digital media and graphic design was something new back then but I saw few designs for magazines and posters and realized that it was something i would want to do as a job.

What was it like to make your very first creative project?

It was kind of scary. Maybe because it was my first time and i didnt want to mess it up. But It went pretty good, as the skills I needed to get the job done was there.

What were the memorable challenges you encountered? How did you overcome it?

Working on different campaigns for different clients offer a lot of challenges. I think one memorable thing that I was part of was working on print design projects that involved a whole range of print ads – it was more particularly challenging because of the amount of work to be done in such a short time. Which is quite common in the industry anyway. But when I was pressured with deadlines.. I had to prioritize. Yes there are deadlines, but in saying that you can never sacrifice quality of your work.

How do you hone your skills?

In this career – it’s always changing so sometimes have to take time to research what is out there, and whatever is new, to give it a try.

What advise can you share with our future aspiring artists?

When you design something, think about why you are doing it. What you are trying to communicate. Don’t be the kind of artist or designer that put something together just because you think it looks nice. You have to give depth into your work. Then you can communicate your message properly.
