From his incredible journeys to Russia and USA down to his various social and personal experiences, Kazuo Sumida, has captured one of the most emotional moments in photography. He is without a doubt one of the best photographers of today.
Kazuo’s work has appeared in The New Yorker, Kochi Shinbun Newspaper and on blog.PhotoWhoa.com. His work has also been displayed around the globe: Tokyo Ginza Kodak Photo Salon(Japan), Tokuyama City Museum of Arts(Japan), Paris Photo(France), Laurence Miller Gallery(USA), AIPAD Photography Show(USA) and ARKA gallery(Russia).
His photos are currently on exhibit at the Art Institute of Chicago permanent photography collection.
Kazuo is also the winner of IPA(International Photography Award-2004) and a finalist at the UJADE Art Award(2010). He has published books such as My Journey to Siberia, A Story of the New York Subway and Memories of My Father: A Journey to Siberia.
