If you want to talk about Digital Arts, the best thing to do would be to ask the experts. That’s exactly what our long-time partner, Miriam College, did for their first Digital Arts Fair held last February 7. First Academy helped out Miriam’s Applied Arts, Humanities and Foreign Language Department chair, Dr. Lourdes K. Samson, as she organized this very successful event.

Students from St. Paul’s College Pasig and Quezon City, St. Theresa’s College QC, St. Scholastica’s Marikina, St. Bridget QC, Miriam College High School and Miriam College Visual Design and Theater flocked to the event.

They were presented with possible career opportunities and lectures from famous Digital Artists. Mr. Jonathan Gil Chua gave an in-depth talk about their future at Digital Marketing. Mr. Ramon del Prado of Tuldok Animation Studios recalled how his company used animation in advocacy marketing. Mr. Cid Reyes presented the effects of the Digital Revolution in Art. After their presentations, an open forum with these distinguished speakers and a raffle draw occurred.

First Academy gave away two short certificate courses on animation and digital art in the raffle. Two lucky Paulinian ladies got these course.

The event promoted the new Bachelor of Applied Arts course in Visual Design, the fruit of Miriam College’s partnership with First Academy.
